Two Dollar Radio submissions

SATOR NEW WORKS AWARD SUBMISSIONS:
Submissions are now open. For details, please visit our dedicated Sator New Works Award page.

GENERAL SUBMISSIONS:
Hello! Thank you for considering submitting your work to Two Dollar Radio.

Before you submit, it is important that you familiarize yourself with our list to make sure your work would be a good fit. Please be prepared to write a statement explaining why you feel Two Dollar Radio is the perfect publisher for your submitted work.

Please submit only completed manuscripts—no samples, excerpts, proposals.
We will accept submissions for work that is out of print from another publisher.
We do not currently accept poetry submissions.

Please keep in mind that we try our best to be respectful of both you and your work, and that each and every submission is reviewed and responded to*. However, given the extreme number of submissions that we receive, it is not always possible for us to respond individually to each submission.

We manage all submissions through Submittable: twodollarradio.submittable.com/submit
Current response time (updated April 2017): 12 months.

[*Although we appreciate you, your work, and your patience, we ask that you please do not use the Contact form to request a status update on a submission; we will not respond to queries made there.]

Resources

We are frequently asked for advice on how one should go about getting their work published.

We think a great place to start is by researching publishers and/or agents, with the goal of narrowing down to only those who would be able to represent your work well, whose list of books and authors you admire and respect.

Here are a handful of publishing company listings on select distributors' websites:
Consortium Book Sales and Distribution
Publishers Group West
Penguin Random House
Small Press Distribution
Community of Literary Magazines & Presses

Hi there!

Two Dollar Radio is a family-run outfit founded in 2005 with the mission to reaffirm the cultural and artistic spirit of the publishing industry. We aim to do this by presenting bold works of literary merit, each book, individually and collectively, providing a sonic progression that we believe to be too loud to ignore.
